CAPABILITY PROFILE Graduate diploma related to Hydrography, Oceanography or Earth Sciences. 7 years experience in survey field operations. 2 years experience in management of survey projects. Fluent English. WORKING CONDITIONS Position based at Suresnes offices. Occasional travels to other Subsea 7 regions, to worksites in Africa, and offshore. DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION Supervise and co-ordinate Survey operations on allocated Projects. Provide Survey support to Projects. Could act as Survey Project Manager on specific survey projects. Could act as Project Surveyor on specific projects. KEY ACTIVITIES Liaise with the Projects Surveyors with respect to the preparation, mobilisation and demobilisation of survey equipment and personnel onboard survey vessels and construction ships and barges. Provide support to the Projects with respect to Project planning, operational methodology, survey procedure reviewing, and equipment suitability. Select survey equipment suppliers and analyse comparative costs. Manage through Project Surveyors all operational issues that may arise in respect to survey operations. Planning, scheduling and organising all resources allocated to perform survey operations. On completion of survey operations, analyse performance for the purpose of identifying any area where improvements can be made in the future. Validate and approve supplier's invoices. Follow-up disputes or issues to arrive to an early settlement/resolution. Provide support to tendering/estimating with respect to survey methodology, equipment and market rates.
